The 2026 Pangos Premier 80 Showcase tipped-off the July Live Period on the West Coast earlier this month on July 9th at Impact Basketball Center in Las Vegas NV – showcasing a group of approximately 80 top prospects nationwide representing 19 different states as well as Australia, Canada, Norway, Italy and Greece. Top scouts on-hand included Frank Burlison, Ronnie Flores (Ball is Life), Gregg Rosenberg (Prep Hoops), Devin Ugland (Prep Hoops), Anthony Ray (AZ Preps), Paul Hernandez (Prep Hoops), Jelani Hicks (Pro Insight), Chad Groth (Area Codes), Bruce Williams (7outz), Britt Wright (Prep Hoops) and Ravi Rambaran. Below is my recap of this event featuring 30 of the top players that stood out to me as well as additional players worthy of being noted.

Kametrius Babbs 6’5” 2027 Rainier Beach (Seattle WA)
MVP of the event for the 2nd year in a row is an ultra-athletic WG with deep range on jump shot as well. Babbs had an impressive and loud 26 points (2 threes) to tip-off the event and was the leading ppg scorer at the P80! KB is arguably the most underrated player in nation. How is this explosive and elite Emerald City wing not ranked in Top 150 by 247sports or Rivals? Very good student (3.7 GPA) also played well at the Pangos All-American Camp in June (selected to the Top 60 Game there). Northwest Rotary 17u/Nike EYCL standout.
Keller Hertz Barnett 6’8″ 2028 St. Mary’s Central (Bismarck ND)
My first look at Hertz-Barnett was an impressive one: 24 points (5/7 threes) and 10 rebounds versus a group of tough Aussies. Strong and athletic PF is an inside-out threat with very good grades (3.7 GPA). Keller averaged 18.5 ppg (top 4 at the event) and 9 rpg (good for #2) – shooting an efficient 50% from the 3-point line (with 6 made threes in 2 games). Good time for mid-highs to get involved with this Pack (ND) AAU team standout.
Camden McKinney 6’7” 2027 Oakland CA
Top 150 caliber hybrid-Forward with deep face-up range and soft touch is an improved defender. Pangos All-American Camp Top 60 Game pick had a personal event-high 14 pts (4/4 3FG) in his top game. Camden shot an event best 66.7% from the 3 point arc here. Bay Area native is looking at attending Tennessee Collegiate Academy or Moravian Prep (NC) next Fall. UC-Santa Barbara and Texas Arlington are among his offers. Played for Belmont Shore AAU team this year.
Zane Rus 6’6” 2027 North Scott (Eldridge IA)
Rus is a tough, physical and athletic Midwest swingman built Ford Tough! High-game of 22 points here with 10 threes combined in his 2 games. Excellent student (3.7 GPA) averaged 17 points per game – displaying dangerous range from deep as well as the bounce and strength to finish despite contact at the rim. Rus received a recent offer from UC-Riverside.
Andrew Jacob Williford 6’5” 2027 Link Prep (Branson MO)
Strong, physical and athletic WG can make tough shots. Houston TX native averaged 15.0 ppg here – shooting 61.5% from the field. Confident court presence with willingness to get on the glass. Williford was the 6th leading scorer on Oakland Soldiers 17u in Nike EYBL this year (20.7 ppg).
Césaire Yenan 7’0” 2027 Bella Vista (Phoenix AZ)
Cesaire is still scratching the surface of his enormous potential! Cameroon native is a long and strong center that had a double-double (12 points/12 rebounds) here with UNLV head coach Josh Pastner watching. Active and active on the glass, Yenan averaged an event best 12 boards per game here. Efficient scorer around the cup with ability to consistently finish (shot 62.5% FG). Plays for the loaded AZ Unity/Nike EYBL program.
Max Pavey 6’3” 2028 Surrey Hills, Victoria Australia
There were several good Aussie prospects here at this event including Pavey. Terrific shooter had back to back 16 point games here – displaying his range and accuracy on jump shot and ability to finish tough shots at rim. High Point, Oregon State and Southern Utah are among the schools that have offered with Arizona State interested in having him visit.
Khaliq Austin 6’4″ 2028 Bismarck (Bismarck ND)
I really liked what I saw out of Austin. Smooth WG with quickness and explosion off bounce with the physical tools to be a terrific defender. Excellent student (3.6 GPA) had a Pangos P80 game high of 15 points/7 rebounds. Upper Midwest prospect has mid-high major potential. Pack (ND) AAU team star.
Curtis Marshall 6’6” 2028 Bridgeport Prep (CT)
Promising young New England swingman averaged 16 ppg here – shooting an impressive 63.6% FG. Expressions Elite/Nike EYBL standout has excellent upside.
Jalen Rogers 6’8” 2027 Beaver Country Day School (Chestnut Hill MA)
Rogers is a strong and physical PF with plenty of D1 value. High game here was a double-double affair (15 points/11 rebounds). Very good student (3.7 GPA) has interest from the likes of New Mexico State.
SILVER Tier (Next 10)
L. Xzavier Mbroh 6’1” 2027 Heritage Hall (Oklahoma City OK)
Speedy and shifty lead guard with potent mid-range jump shot and decent range on jump shot averaged an impressive 17.5 ppg here. Plays for Trae Young-sponsored Legynds/Nike EYCL team.
Troy Arthon 6’8” 2028 St. John Bosco (Bellflower CA)
Versatile hybrid-forward with nice outside stroke (shot 66.7% from the 3-point arc here) has the agility to score in transition and the requisite IQ moving without the ball to get open in the half-court. Very good student too (3.5 GPA) is a Chaminade/West Hills CA transfer.
Nicolo Passalacqua 6’5″ 2026 Trinity International (Las Vegas NV)/Italy
Well-built Italian wing averaged 19.5 ppg (good for #2 at the event) and is an underrated rebounder too (averaged 9 boards per game). Good student too (3.2 GPA).
Isaac Hagens 6’6″ 2027 Poly (Long Beach CA)
Hagens is a savvy and crafty 3-level scorer. Very good student (3.7 GPA) had an efficient 18 points (6/10 FG; 3/5 3FG; 3/3 FT) here as schools like UC-Irvine watched. Very good student (3.7 GPA) averaged 14.5 points and 5.5 boards per game here. Played for Belmont Shore AAU team this year.
Carter Parker 6’4″ 2028 Vasquez (Acton CA)
An emerging name in SoCal’s rising junior class, Carter is a deadly lefty sharpshooter (shot 62.5% from the 3 here) that is an underrated athlete and defender that had one of the better scoring efforts here: 21 points (7/11 FG; 5/7 3FG). Very good student (3.6 GPA) with mid-to-high major potential played for Belmont Shore AAU team this year.
Hank Baskett IV 6’3” 2028 Oaks Christian Westlake Village (CA)
Athletic, active and productive wing seems like his body is in constant motion. Hank averaged 19 points and 8 boards here (good for #3 and #4 in those categories at the event. Father Hank Baskett III played football at New Mexico and in NFL with Philadelphia Eagles.
Rowan Hoffman 6’8″ 2027 Phillips Exeter (Exeter NH)
Workhorse PF gives max effort at all times and makes plays at both ends. Terrific student (4.2 GPA/1340 SAT) and Florida native had a double-double (10 pts/10 rebounds) here. Shot the ball at a high clip here (66.7% FG).
Gavin Leunen 6’8” 2027 Ridgeview (Redmond OR)
My first glimpse of Gavin was a good one! Excellent student (3.8 GPA) is an agile PF with nice finishing ability at rim. Son of former Oregon Duck Maarty Leunen had efficient 11 points (5/7 FG) in one of his games here (shot 61.5% from the field in his 2 games here). Excellent student too (3.8 GPA).
Noah Adkins 5’11” 2028 Denver East (Denver CO)
Quick playmaker is an excellent table-setter (his 9 assists per game was tops at this event). Very good student too (3.6 GPA).
Austin Kirikiri 5’10” 2027 Barre Warren, Victoria Australia
Not blessed with great size but Kirikiri is a problem for opposing defenses! Quick, crafty and elusive playmaker has hard to guard offensive instincts and ability to make tough shots and innate ability to find teammates. (4.5 apg here).
BRONZE Tier (Last 10)
Noah Emmanuel 6’10″ 2027 Whitney Young (Chicago IL)
Windy City Big man is a rugged rebounder and formidable rim-protector (averaged 2 blocks per game here) with a high academic profile (3.7 GPA).
Jahmai Samuels-Maraugh 6’4” 2027 Bella Vista (Phoenix AZ)
Quick playmaker off the bounce is a good distributor (averaged 3 assists per game here). Plays for AZ Unity/Nike EYBL.
Filip Mozoui 6’8” 2027 CATS Academy (Braintree MA)
Big and strong PF is assertive on the boards and can score on the block. Very good student (3.5 GPA/1200 SAT) plays for Expressions Elite/Nike EYBL.
Maddox Lazor 6’8” 2027 Basha (Gilbert AZ)
Versatile and skilled forward with range that extends to 3-point line is a Southwest rising senior sleeper. Excellent student (3.7 GPA) averaged 14 points per game here on 50% 3FG.
Thomas Nicholas 7’0” 2028 Frankston, Victoria Australia
Big and physical Aussie makes his presence in paint known and averaged 13.5 ppg here.
Zayne Hinkson 6’0” 2027 Western Canada Prep Academy (Edmonton AB Canada)
Savvy PG with nice court vision and passing skills averaged 2.5 assists per game here. Good student too (3.3 GPA).
Stephon Booth 6’8” 2028 West Fargo (ND)
Strong and bouncy PF is active is active on glass (averaged 6.5 boards per game here) and can finish in traffic in the paint.
Javier Richards 6’3” 2027 Carl Albert (Midwest City OK)
Richards is athletic two-way guard with great upside and good grades (3.5 GPA). Excellent defender (led event in steals per game/4.0) plays for Trae Young-sponsored Legynds/Nike EYCL team.
Xion Evans 6’3” 2027 Best Academy (Atlanta GA)
Confident and assertive SG has range on jump shot. Xinon’s 6 made threes was good for #3 in the event here.
Jarell Session 6’4” 2027 Jordan (Los Angeles CA)
One of the premier wing defenders here is also an efficient scorer (shot 53.8%from the field here). One of Southern California’s top rising senior sleepers is also a very good student (3.7 GPA).
