HoopHall West HS Invitational at Chaparral HS (Scottsdale AZ) continued on Friday December 6th with a lively performance by the nation’s #1 senior Evan Mobley (Rancho Christian/Temecula CA).  Top scouts/media on-hand tonight included Frank Burlison (BurlisonOnBasketball.com), Eric Bossi & Krysten Peek (Rivals.com), Ronnie Flores (Ball is Life), Josh Gershon (247Sports), Gregg Rosenberg (Prep Hoops Arizona) and Justin Young (Hoop Seen).

Here is a look at some the day’s standouts:

Evan Mobley                    6’11”  2020   Rancho Christian (Temecula CA)
Exceptional shot-blocker and rim-protector gets off the ground as quick as any HS big man I’ve seen in recent memory. Long, skilled and impactful in so many ways, Evan had his usual double-double (16 points/11 boards) as well as 3 blocks, 2 assists and 2 steals tonight in a big 95-75 win over Rainier Beach/Seattle WA that was telecast on ESPN+.

Jaden Hardy                     6’5”    2021   Coronado (Henderson CA)
Ultra-athletic scoring combo-guard can hurt defenses in so many ways.  Nationally ranked in 2021 Top 10 by ESPN (#6), 247Sports (#7) and Rivals (#9), Jaden is heavily recruited by blue-bloods coast to coast.

Shemar Morrow               6’5″    2020   Shadow Mountain (Phoenix AZ)
Strong and athletic WF displayed an improved outside touch here.  Morrow had 32 points including 4 “threes” in a 76-68 win over Regis Jesuit (Aurora CO).  One of the most underrated unsigned seniors in the West.

Dominick Harris               6’4”    2020   Rancho Christian (Temecula CA)
Gonzaga signee is a high-scoring combo-guard with deep 3-point range.  Dom scored a game-high 23 points (5 “threes”) to lead the Eagles over Rainier Beach (Seattle WA) 63-45.

Brendan Terry                  6’5”    2021   Crossroads (Santa Monica CA)
Hard-working and very improved WF with a strong build and nice range on jump shot.  Scored 10 points despite limited minutes due to foul trouble.  Santa Clara was on-hand to take a close look at Terry.

Luke Turner                     6’7”    2021   Rancho Christian (Temecula CA)
Long-range marksman is also quicker than you think driving to the cup. Turner had 15 points vs. Rainier Beach.

Henri Adissa                    6’10”  2022   Crossroads (Santa Monica CA)
Rugged and bouncy center is making good progress. Improved “catch and finish” ability on the block.

Jerry Illiya                        6’6”    2020   Paradise Honors (Surprise AZ)
Jumping-jack swingman thrives in transition.  One of Arizona’s top unsigned seniors.

John Hart                         6’1”    2020   Rainier Beach (Seattle WA)
Senior combo-guard scored 26 points (6 “threes”) in a loss to Rancho Christian.

Tyrelle Hunt                     6’5”    2020   Coronado (Henderson NV)
Undersized but very underrated forward can score in a variety of ways.

Yahhe Osmon                  6’1”    2020   Rainier Beach (Seattle WA)
Osmon displayed a legit 3-point stroke against Rancho Christian en route to a game-high 28 points (7 “threes”).

Carson Basham               6’10”  2021   Sunnyslope (Phoenix AZ)
Emerging West Coast junior prospect has a big body, agility and nice face-up ability.  Basham is getting interest from the likes of TCU, Washington State, Santa Clara, UC-Santa Barbara, Pepperdine, San Francisco, Duquesne, Loyola Marymount, UC-Riverside and Northern Arizona. Carson had 13 points/7 boards/4 blocks vs. Gilbert (AZ) tonight.

Jaxson Kohler                 6’7”    2023   Coronado (Henderson NV)
Skilled and savvy PF won’t blow you away by his athleticism. But he will impress you with his terrific footwork, basketball IQ and scoring skills in the paint.
