* special to NBN Magazine by George Courtney (ArizonaPreps.com)

The Pangos brand is known worldwide for hosting several of the best high school prospects in the world. Dinos Trigonis did a phenomenal job in assembling a plethora of the nation’s best players to play in front of the top NBA and college scouts. Every game was exciting as there was a great collection of high major prospects and future NBA picks. Here are some of the top players I had the opportunity to evaluate:

Amier Ali 6-8 2024 Monteverde Academy (FL)
This young man is an impressive stretch four forward. Ali has elite athleticism and leaping
ability that can pose problems for opposing bigs or wings. Ali can hurt opposing teams with his scoring talent as he has great scoring ability from all ranges. Thrives in using his athleticism to finish at the rim and his athletic tools and skills make him a highly desirable high major prospect looking for an impactful stretch four.

Carey Booth 6-9 2023 Cherry Creek (Englewood CO)
Booth is an exciting power forward prospect with elite athleticism and leaping ability. He will be a highly desirable high major prospect because of his impressive shot blocking, rebounding and playmaking ability. I project this young man to have a bright college career as he possesses tremendous upside as he is headed to Brewster Academy for his senior season next Fall

Kaden Cooper 6-5 2023 The Skill Factory (Atlanta GA)
Cooper is an intriguing prospect because of his freakish athletic ability. Kaden jumps out of the gym and thrives in transition. His playmaking ability on both ends should be enough to excite any college coach. Cooper has tremendous upside and I am excited to see which college he decides to commit towards. A solid high major prospect.

Osiris Grady 6-8 2023 Coronado (Henderson NV)
Grady is a long athletic forward who plays hard end to end. He has a great motor and gets after it on both ends of the floor. He will be a matchup problem for opposing teams as he can play the wing or the stretch four position. Grady is another solid high major D1 prospect based on athleticism, size, defensive and offensive ability.

Papa Kante 6-10 2023 South Kent (CT)
Kante is one of my favorite prospects of the camp with incredible inside-out scoring ability. He is a hybrid forward with a nice perimeter skill set and can guard all five positions. Kante has great athleticism, strength and heart to compete. In the right scenario, he could have an amazing professional career sooner than later.

KJ Lewis 6-4 2023 Chapin (El Paso TX)
Lewis is an elite combo guard with reliable three level scoring ability. An Arizona commit, he has smooth handles with a high IQ. This young man’s athleticism and skill makes him a legitimate High Major prospect. I look forward to watching his career blossom in college.

Ugonna Onyenso 7-0 2023 Putnam Science Academy (CT)
This young man is a specimen as he possesses freakish athleticism for his size. He has amazing footwork, finishing, rebounding and shot blocking ability. I project him to be an NBA draft pick in the future, one of my favorite post players of the camp.

Kevin Patton Jr. 6-8 2023 Maricopa (AZ)
This young man has shown vast improvement from this past winter. Kevin is a solid mid major plus prospect with good length and athleticism. Patton is a wing that can pose a matchup nightmare for smaller wings/guards as he has elite athleticism and solid finishing ability. He thrives in transition and has the tools to do some damage to opponents.

Styles Phipps 6-2 2024 St. Mary’s (Phoenix AZ)
Phipps is a stock-riser prospect as he is showing a high return on investment.  Phipps has shown drastic growth and improvement. Styles is a three level scorer and plays really tough on the defensive end. Besides his scoring ability, he can facilitate and direct the offense well. His play reminds me of a young Jason Kidd. I anticipate his stock to go through the roof as he is already getting high major offers.

Andrej Stojakovic 6-7 2023 Jesuit (Carmichael CA)
Stojakovic is a solid high major shooting guard with a nice stroke. He can score at all three levels and has a pretty good set of guard skills. His game grew on me as he has a great IQ and feel for the game. He has terrific basketball blue blood and I anticipate him having a great college career at the highest level.

Tru Washington 6-4 2023 Mountain Pointe (Phoenix AZ)
From watching this man progress from his freshman year until now, Washington’s game really grew on me. He is a playmaker and knows how to strike the iron when it’s hot. He started the camp a little slow however it seems like he was devising a plan to unleash an array of scoring, defensive and making impactful plays. As the competition got tougher, Washington arose to the occasion and delivered.  His performance impressed scouts to lead him to an invite to the Top 30 All-Star Game. Washington utilized the big stage to put on an impressive performance earning him the Co-MVP of the All-Star Game. It is the first time in camp history an Arizona product earned that honor. With that being said, recruiters and coaches stay woke as Tru Washington’s stock bursted through the roof after his impressive camp performance.

Cody Williams 6-7 2023 Perry (Gilbert AZ)
Williams continues to impress as he has great three level scoring ability. He is a solid combo guard with great length and athleticism that can pose matchup nightmares for opposing guards. He is extremely skilled and has a fantastic IQ. His stock will continue to rise through the roof as he already has an abundance of Division 1 offers. I anticipate seeing this young man in the NBA sooner than later.
