As the Pangos All American Camp progresses to the final day, players find their groove as the best of the best look to shine to get nominated for the cream of the crop games. I was able to evaluate court three as it was filled with elite players. Here are some of the players who caught my attention:
Emmanuel Stephen 7-0 2024 Dream City Christian (Glendale, AZ)
Stephen has phenomenal footwork and agility for his size. He has a good motor and runs the floor well. An excellent rim protector and rebounder. Stephen is just scratching the surface of his potential. He has a pro level body with tremendous upside.
Flory Bidunga 6-9 2024 Kokomo (IN)
An explosive and prolific dunker, Bidunga plays aggressive and makes his presence known inside. He is extremely tough and strong for opponents to contain. A solid power forward who can flat out wreck unsuspecting opponents. One of my favorite forwards of the entire camp.
Jayden Williams 6-9 2024 Overtime Elite (Atlanta, GA)
Williams possesses an elite skill set for a forward. He has a great motor and runs the floor well. He competes on both ends of the floor and finishes strong above the rim. He is definitely an exciting prospect to keep an eye on.
Johnuel “Boogie” Fland 6-2 2024 Archbishop Stepinac (White Plains, NY)
An excellent looking point guard prospect. He thrives in getting downhill to create scoring opportunities for himself or his teammates. Fland has an excellent IQ and feel for the game. As the game went on, Fland’s game grew on me because he is so versatile. He displayed solid three level scoring and ability to hit clutch shots. A playmaker for colleges to keep an eye on as he has a bright future.
Pharoah Compton 6-7 2024 AZ Compass Prep (Chandler, AZ)
Another one of my favorite prospects to make the cream of the crop game. Compton looks to throw everything down inside. He has a solid frame with great reaction time. I really like his high basketball IQ as he makes the right play at the right time. Another high major prospect out of Arizona Prep Powerhouse Arizona Compass Prep.
Rob Wright 6-0 2024 Neumann Goretti (Philadelphia, PA) Baylor
The Baylor commit came to the Pangos All American Camp to show out. Wright has good range on his shot and possesses elite athleticism. Stout and battle tested, I enjoyed the way he prides himself as a defender. He can also break down defenders to pick and choose his shots.
Ryan Jones 6-8 2024 Rock School (Gainesville, FL)
Jones has a good feel for the game as he has great athletic ability. He showed his ability to play the wing, toughness and willingness to play inside as well. Jones can score from all three levels and will be an excellent pickup for a school needing a tough forward.
Styles Phipps 6-2 2024 St. Mary’s (Phoenix, AZ)
I have been watching this young man since his freshman year. He is an elite floor general with elite scoring ability from all three levels. Phipps is an architect in attacking his opponents and has the skills to hurt opponents in different ways (downhill to finish, downhill to dish, drive to pull up mid-range and catch and shoot). I anticipate him having a stellar senior year as he is one of Arizona’s top prospects.
Trent MacLean 6-9 2025 Thousand Oaks (CA)
MacLean is one of the better catch and shoot prospects of the event. He has deep range and great length with sneaky leaping ability. I liked how he has a solid skillset to change pace when attacking the basket. An elite small forward prospect.
