Nothing But Net’s Magazine Look at the Class of 2021
by Van Coleman

The Class of 2021 has had a number of changes at the top from last spring until now as we get ready to release our updated NBN rankings! We have a new No.1 in multi-skilled forward 6’9 Jonathan Kuminga who’s scoring prowess has pushed him just ahead of 6’9 man-child Paolo Banchero who is breathing down his neck at this point. Right behind them is fast rising 70 Chet Holmgren who tore it up at the Team USA trials and former No.1 Patrick Baldwin who has all the tools to ascend to the top spot again. Rounding out the top five is skilled 6’8 southern athlete Jabari Smith who is definitely on the rise!

Heading up the second five is the first of three bigs who’ve cracked the top ten in 6’10 Moussa Cisse an athletic shot blocker and finisher. Right behind him is 6’4 wing scorer Jaden Hardy who has tools to score from NBA arc to the rim. The second big man in the second five is 6’9 Michael Foster who has made the move to the Southwest from Wisconsin. In at number nine is another wing who can fill it up or run the show in 6’4 A. J. Griffin who has already committed to Duke. Rounding out the top ten is another shot blocker and athletic rim rattler in 6’9 Moussa Diabate.

The next ten is talented and features help at every spot, post, forward, wing or point guard. Look for a number of these talents to push for top ten spots by the end of spring! Wonder who else will join them? With that in mind, let’s take a look at our updated NBN Top 100-plus players in the nation’s junior class, the Class of 2021.
