The 2024 Pangos All-West Frosh/Soph Camp presented by Athletes Ai and Spalding was held recently at McBride HS in Long Beach CA on September 21-22 and nearly 180 top 2027 and 2028 players (along with a few talented 2029 ballers) attended including prospects from California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, Idaho, Hawaii, Texas, Georgia and Wisconsin. 6-10+ 2027 Mahamadou Diop (San Gabriel Academy/CA) – ranked #1 in SoCal by NBN Magazine and #38 nationally by On3 – was in attendance but did not play due to a hip-pointer injury.
Last year’s camp featured the nation’s Top 2 players in 2026: 6-4 Brandon McCoy (St. John Bosco/Bellflower CA) and 6-7 Tyran Stokes (Notre Dame/Sherman Oaks CA).
The depth of the talent present again this year had media/scouts optimistic about the future of West Coast high school hoops and this platform gives talented young prospects in those classes a real opportunity to display their skills and future potential.
BallerTV live-streamed all games at the event (they are now also available for replay):

The camp’s top 60 players were selected by the media/scouts in attendance and were showcased in the two “cream of the crop” games held at the conclusion of the event.
In the Top 30 Game it was 6-7 2027 swiss-army knife Jalen White scoring a team-high 19 points (three “3s”) to propel the White team over the Black squad 105-103 despite a furious rally led by guards 6-2 2027 Hunter Caplan (21 points; 5/7 3FG) and 6-1 2028 Karter Butler (10 assists, 5 boards and 3 steals). White was named Top 30 Game MVP while overall camp MOP 6-9 2027 Godson Okokoh added a strong double-double (13 points/14 rebounds) for the winners. In the Top 60 Game it was Idaho native 6-4 2027 Adrian Galloway sparking the White squad (17 points/7 boards) over the Black unit 108-014 – en route to Top 60 Game MVP honors. 5-11 2027 Myles McBride led the Black with 17 points and 4 assists.
While this is a recap of the event, please keep in mind that this is a very early look at underclass prospects that have much room for future growth and are all “unfinished” products.

Well-built and strong big man is a force on the block and on the boards. Nice skill set and feel allows him to grab boards and push rock in transition.Top 50-75 national caliber prospect in 2027 plays with confidence and a big motor! Physical rebounder and defender will team with recent Baylor-commit 6-6 2025 Tounde Yessoufou and talented 6-3 2026 guard Julius Price to give coach Tom Mott a terrific post/perimeter offensive trio this upcoming season at St. Joseph’s. Named MVP of the Central Cali Prospects Next Up Showcase this past August. Looking like a legit Top 50 caliber national 2027 prospect to me at the moment.
Isaac Gonda 6’10” 2027 Bella Vista CIA (Phoenix AZ)
Skilled center and Canadian native has very nice offensive skills including perimeter shooting range to the 3-point line. Good rebounder too (grabbed 7 boards in Top 30 Game). Gonda had a high game of 23 points on Saturday. Scouts here really like his future.
NJ Gray 6’0” 2027 The Branson School (Ross CA)

Hudson has quickly established himself as one of CA’s top 2027 PGs. Quick and athletic playmaker can score in bunches as well as facilitate for teammates. Hudson’s high scoring game of 20 points came on Sunday morning. Good defender too (had 4 steals to go along with 13 points on an efficient 6/9 FG in Top 30 Game). Justin Johnson 6’5” 2027 El Camino Real (Oceanside CA)
Long and athletic swingman is the son of Joey Johnson (Banning HS/Wilmington CA, Arizona State and arguably as good a basketball athlete SoCal has ever produced as well as the younger brother of former NBA guard Dennis Johnson – who starred for the Sonics and Celtics). Justin’s older brother is former Arizona standout guard Nick Johnson (currently playing in Europe). While still raw in many ways, Justin has made great progress over a year ago and his improved scoring skill set showed here. Scored a camp high of 22 points on Sunday morning. Played well in Top 30 Game: 9 points/6 rebounds. They Can Hoop video: https://x.com/TheyCanHoop/status/1839057952705278312
Tre Keith 6’3″ 2027 Tri Cities (East Point GA)

Athletic slashing scorer and active rebounder was a factor on both ends of floor all camp long.
Jakyi Miles 6’3″ 2028 Mesa (AZ)
Miles is one of the elite freshman PGs in nation. After making noise in the 2024 Nike EYBL 15u division as a 8th grader this past grassroots season (was #5 in 15u division scoring with 19.1 ppg with a high game of 35 points), Miles is ready for a big HS freshman season! Quick playmaker is elusive (via use of a nifty cross-over dribble) and has legit 3-point range. Miles had camp high of 36 points in last round of camp games here on Sunday morning.
Josiah Nance 6’5” 2027 Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks CA)
Nance came out strong out of the gates here in Long Beach – going off for 32 and 29 points in his two Saturday games. Sturdy lefty lead guard with very improved and smooth perimeter stroke has a very nice feel for the game. Josiah is a Top 3-to-5 guard CA’s 2026 class and I’m expecting this upcoming season to be a break-out year for him after transferring from Heritage Christian/Northridge CA where he played as a freshman last season. Top 75-100 caliber potential.
Godson Okokoh 6’9″ 2027 SoCal Academy (Reseda CA)
Canadian import had a huge opening game statement – exploding for a loud 30 points in his 1st game here. Very athletic and skilled PF has good range on jump shot (2 threes). Quick off his feet as a premier shotblocker and active on the boards, Godson capped his camp MOP performance with a strong double-double (13 points/14 boards in theTop 30 game). Kainoa Patton 6’3” 2028 Centennial (Corona CA)
Strong young WG is wired to score as his 34 points (3 threes) on Saturday clearly demonstrates. Patton can also finish above the rim and is a huge piece of Centennial coach Josh Giles’ future rebuilding plan in Corona.
Delton Prescott 6’0” 2027 Sunnyslope (Phoenix AZ)
Prescott (ranked #59 by Rivals.com/Yahoo and #60 nationally by On3) is a cerebral PG with sound decision-making ability that colleges already are taking notice of. Has offers already from Cal, Arizona State, San Francisco, McNeese State, Fresno State and Portland. Prescott scored 22 points is his camp high game here and topped it off with a very nice Top 30 Game effort: 14 points (5/8 FG), 5 boards and 3 assists.

Mohamed Toure 6’8″ 2027 San Gabriel Academy (CA)
Athletic forward has real scoring prowess. Tourne’s 38 points on Saturday was good for the #1 scoring game at the camp and he followed that up with 25 more on Sunday morning.
Amari Upshaw 6’4″ 2027 Bella Vista CIA (Phoenix AZ)
Upshaw is an ultra-athletic lead guard with good length that is oozing with HM potential. Amari has major burst at the rim and nice ability to create separation vis-a-vis defenders off the bounce. Canadian (Nova Scotia) native and very good 3-point shooter had a camp high of 27 points on Sunday morning. Member of Canadian U17 national team this past year.
Jalen White 6’7″ 2027 Bella Vista CIA (Phoenix AZ)
White was arguably the best run and jump athlete here. Finishes everything with authority at the rim and is an absolute terror in transition. Shawn Marion-type forward had 19 points (8/12 FG: 3/5 3FG) in Top 30 Game en route to game MVP honors. Current offers include Washington and UNLV.
Isaiah Williamson 6’3″ 2028 Los Alamitos (CA)
